We are a small farm in Franklin County, North Carolina, that raise less than 10 pigs a year and focus on quality. All work is done by Dave, Anne, and their twelve year old daughter Andie. Dave is a biochemical researcher at the Environmental Protection Agency and Anne is a homemaker, home school teacher, and general nurturer. We are concerned with how our daughter is raised and what she consumes. With our homestead effort, our goal is to provide high quality and safe food. As we were already raising animals for ourselves we thought it would be little effort to provide safe, quality meat that is affordable for others as well. We want to know where our food is coming from and we are guessing that you do to. We also ensure the quality of the animals’ life by raising it in an open field with natural food as supplement without added hormones or antibiotics. Every animal is treated with respect and love. And as we keep the sow and boar on our property (Aggie and Boris) we know the animals we sacrifice are valued and cared for. Both are Duroc, Hampshire mix.
